Install and configure SuperSense on your WordPress site with our step-by-step guide.

This guide walks you through installing SuperSense and completing the initial setup process.

Installation Methods

WordPress Plugin Directory

The recommended method for most users:

Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard and go to Plugins → Add New.

Search for SuperSense

In the search box, type "SuperSense" and press Enter.

Install the Plugin

Click Install Now on the SuperSense plugin card.

Activate

After installation completes, click Activate to enable the plugin.

Manual Installation

For users who prefer manual installation or have the premium package:

Download the Package

Download the SuperSense plugin .zip file from your account dashboard or purchase confirmation email.

Upload to WordPress

Navigate to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Select the downloaded .zip file and click Install Now.

Activate the Plugin

Click Activate Plugin to enable SuperSense on your site.

FTP/SFTP Upload

For advanced users or server-level installation:

# Extract the plugin files
unzip supersense.zip

# Upload to your plugins directory
scp -r supersense/ user@yourserver:/path/to/wp-content/plugins/

Then activate through the WordPress admin panel at Plugins → Installed Plugins.

License Activation

After installation, you must activate your license to enable full functionality:

Open SuperSense Dashboard

Click on SuperSense in the WordPress admin sidebar.

Enter License Key

Locate your license key from your purchase confirmation or account dashboard. Enter it in the license activation field.

Activate

Click Activate License. The system will verify your license and unlock all features.

Your license key is tied to a specific number of site activations. You can manage active sites from your SuperSense account dashboard.

Initial Configuration

After license activation, complete these essential configuration steps:

1. Set Your Default Language

Navigate to SuperSense → Settings → General and select your primary content language. This affects AI content generation.

2. Configure Default Categories

Assign default WordPress categories for generated posts. You can override these per-project later.

3. Set Up Author Mapping

Choose which WordPress users will be assigned as authors for generated content.

4. Review Image Settings

Configure image quality, dimensions, and source preferences in the Images tab.

Plugin Updates

Automatic Updates (WordPress.org)

If installed from WordPress.org, updates are handled automatically through the WordPress update system. You'll receive notifications when new versions are available.

Manual Updates

For premium versions or custom installations:

  1. Download the latest version from your account dashboard
  2. Deactivate the current plugin
  3. Delete the old plugin files
  4. Upload and activate the new version
Always backup your site before updating. Settings and data are preserved during updates, but backups ensure you can recover if issues occur.

Verification

Confirm your installation is complete:

  • Plugin is activated and visible in the admin sidebar
  • License is activated and showing "Active" status
  • Default settings are configured
  • Dashboard loads without errors

Troubleshooting Installation

License Activation Failed

Common causes:

  • Invalid or expired license key
  • Network connectivity issues
  • License already activated on maximum sites

Solutions:

  • Verify the license key is entered correctly
  • Check your internet connection
  • Deactivate unused sites from your account dashboard

Plugin Won't Activate

Common causes:

  • PHP version too low
  • Memory limit insufficient
  • Conflicting plugins

Solutions:

  • Upgrade to PHP 8.0 or higher
  • Increase WordPress memory limit to 256MB
  • Deactivate other plugins temporarily to identify conflicts
